What do Bryce Harper, Austin Mahone, and the Nats’ Presidents Race have in common? The answer is you can see them all signing up to attend the annual WVU Alumni Night game at Nationals Park. This year’s game is Saturday, July 19th, as the Nats take on the Milwaukee Brewers, and you can purchase your tickets now.
Game time is 7:05 pm, but the festivities begin with the Pre-Game warm-up at The Fairgrounds (hyperlink) by The Bullpen directly across from the Metro entrance on Half Street. A large outdoor venue, The Fairgrounds offers live music, food trucks and plenty of open space to enjoy your favorite drink, chat at picnic tables or play cornhole.The doors open at 5:00 pm, so plan on joining your fellow Mountaineers early to talk a little baseball, Big 12, or just to enjoy a cold beverage and snacks.
You can pick up your tickets at the Will Call window after 4:30 pm the day of the game, but the lines can get a little long the closer you get to game time. so plan accordingly. You’ll need a photo ID to pick up your tickets, and remember they’ll be under the name of the person who bought them. The fun doesn’t stop when the game ends. Pop music star Austin Mahone (think Justin Bieber without the baggage) will be performing live after the game, so you get the Nats-Brewers, and a concert, for the price of one!
