Join WVU NCAC, WVSS, and Team Bear as we lay wreaths at Arlington Cemetery!

2012 WVU Wreaths CrewThe National Capital Alumni Chapter is once again participating in Wreaths Across America (WAA).  For over 25 years WAA has been placing wreaths on the gravestones of fallen soldiers at our nation’s military cemeteries.  NCAC has teamed up with the West Virginia State Society in the past for this annual salute to our fallen at Arlington National Cemetery.

This year we are proud to announce that instead of just laying a few wreaths, the NCAC-WVSS team has the responsibility to unload an entire 18-wheeler!   As such, we need your help!  The date is Saturday, December 14th, so mark your calendars.  While final details (meeting location, time, etc) will be posted/released in a few weeks, if you are certain you can join us please RSVP to Chris Greaver at cgreaver@yahoo.com.  The event will start around 9:00AM and will conclude around lunch time.

Wreaths Across America

We cannot tell you what an honor it is to lay these wreaths, and how good it makes you feel for the rest of the day.  This year we are also proud to announce that Team Bear has decided to team up with us.  Team Bear is a collection of ladies from the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area that have lost husbands or family in conflict.  This will add an additional layer of giving back that is not to be missed!

Email Chris Greaver, cgreaver@yahoo.com, if you have additional questions or to RSVP, and check back here or on our Facebook page for updates!
