Member Spotlight – Alan Zuccari and Jason Zuccari

Alan J. Zuccari (’73 BS, Political Science) and his son, Jason (’10 B.Mds,
Multidisciplinary Studies), are proud members of the Mountaineer family.Alan Zuccari and Jason Zuccari
Alan, a Morgantown, W.Va. native, and his son, a McLean, Va. native,
attended West Virginia University a generation apart but share the common
bond of service to their alma mater.

Alan Zuccari is the President and CEO of Fairfax, Va. based Hamilton
Insurance. In 1973, the elder Zuccari left Morgantown for Washington, DC.
Nearly 40 years later, he’s carved a path out of Morgantown that has led
him to ascend the heights of business success: acquiring a small insurance
brokerage firm – Hamilton – and growing it into one of the largest in the
nation. Along the way, Alan has collected numerous industry awards and
accolades including being a member of the Million Dollar Roundtable (Top of
the Table) and the Health Facilities Association of Maryland Man of the
Year. Additonally, Mr. Zuccari has served as an advisor to the American
Health Care Association and the United States Department of Housing and
Urban Development and has served as chairman of the Alderson Hospitality
House, a non-profit organization aiding families of incarcerated women in
Alderson, WV.

Alan Zuccari is also a member of the Board of Directors of the WVU
Foundation and the Mountaineer Athletic Council Advisory Board. A proud
supporter of the WVU Alumni Association, Alan and his wife, Lisa, unveiled
the Alan and Lisa Zuccari Alumni Wall on the grounds of the Erickson Alumni
Center in Morgantown in 2011.

Jason Zuccari is an Associate Producer in the family business – Hamilton
Insurance. The younger Zuccari joined HIA in 2011. During his time at WVU,
Jason served as student body president and was active in numerous
organizations – including the Sigma Alpha Epsilon fraternity and the
Clinton Global Initiative University.

Jason is a member of the Board of Advisors for Remember The Miners, Inc.
and is a member of the Clinton Foundation’s Millennium Network.
Additionally, Jason was one of the founding partners of the West Virginia
Children’s Literacy Initiative.

Both Alan and Jason Zuccari are active members of the National Capital Area
Chapter of the WVU Alumni Association.

Alan Zuccari resides with his wife, Lisa, in McLean, Va. The couple have
two children in addition to Jason: Jarred and Sara. Jason Zuccari resides
in Arlington, Va.
