New Y’EER Celebration
Help the NCAC ring in the ‘New Y’EER, look back at some of the great NCAC events from the past year, and honor four great WVU alums in the DC area at our annual winter gathering.
Join us for a great night of Mountaineer fun, including food and drinks, a silent auction, the 50/50 raffle, the announcement of the date for Crab Feast, and the NCAC’s four awards to deserving DC area WVU alumni. See event details below, as well as learn about the awards and how to nominate worthy candidates.

Each year the NCAC honors four outstanding DC-area alumni in the categories described below. You can nominate individuals you feel are worthy of recognition by writing a few paragraphs about them and their activities, and submitting that information in the NCAC Award Submission Form.
NCAC Service Award
Given to an individual that participates and volunteers frequently throughout the year. The criteria takes into account the number of events attended, and the nominee being a “team player and exhibiting good sportsmanship.”
NCAC Sponsorship Award
Given to the person or company representative that provides the most opportunity from a sponsorship perspective. This includes frequency of events sponsored, impact, and nature of sponsorship.
NCAC Lifetime Achievement Award
Given to an individual that has spent at least 15 years as an alumnus in the NCAC. The criteria should be about impact to the NCAC, helping the chapter evolve into what it is today, being a leader of leaders, and a person that is recognizable by a majority of the current NCAC Board and chapter members.
NCAC Up and Coming Award
Given to a young alum (5 years or less from their date of graduation from WVU) who has distinguished themselves with support of chapter event(s), membership or in other meaningful ways.
