NCAC hosts a number of events throughout the year, such as the Crab Feast and the President’s Luncheon. We also host happy hours at different locations in the DMV and game watches for football and basketball games. Check the calendar below for more details!
On March 14th, Meet other Mountaineers in the DMV area, learn about exciting alumni events coming up in 2019, and enjoy food and drink provided by your alumni chapter board. Rhodeside Grill is our host for the evening – enjoy Thursday raw bar specials and a pint of Ocelot Brewery’s Sunnyside Lager during a tap takeover!
Big Twelve Pub Tour
Paint the town blue and gold with some of your best frenemies from the other Big Twelve schools! Enjoy specials, a scavenger hunt, and plenty of school spirit in one of DC’s unique neighborhoods!
WVU Day at the Nationals
On April 12th, when the Pirates come to town, WVU will partner with the Washington Nationals as a part of their College Day Series. Each WVU Night ticket will include seating in the specially designated WVU section, and a co-branded WVU/Nationals cap. There are only a limited number of tickets available, so buy yours now before they run out!
WVU Alumni NCAC Golf Outing
On May 10th, come to our golf outing, a premier WVU Alumni event, and one of the chapter’s biggest fundraisers. Enjoy a day of golf and fun with other DC area Mountaineers. Each golfer pass includes a round a golf with cart, lunch and beverage cart and a ticket to the Country Roads Awards Banquet.
Virginia Gold Cup
On May 4th, celebrate the arrival of Spring at the Virginia Gold Cup Races! WVU National Capital Area Chapter annually hosts a tent with for Mountaineers, Big 12 alumni and friends.
Crab FeastEach year, nearly 1,000 WVU alumni and friends turn out for the annual NCAC WVU Crab Feast. This year’s event is our 38th Annual Crab Feast, featuring all-you-can-eat crabs, shrimp, wings and beverages, door prizes, live music and special guests.
Wreaths Across America
Each December on National Wreaths Across America Day, the WAA mission to Remember, Honor and Teach is carried out by coordinating wreath-laying ceremonies at Arlington National Cemetery, as well as over 1,200 additional locations in all 50 U.S. states, at sea, and abroad. Join us as we honor those who have served by placing a wreath at their final resting places.
